About Me

“I should be writing…”
I say this multiple times a day(or basically every time I open the file of the
book/article/story I have to write that is due in a couple of days). But alas, other things
are occupying my head. Because my brain can’t handle all the jumbled ideas, I created
this dumping ground of everything going on.
Do I think anyone will read this? Probably not. But hey, at least I can show it
to my descendants and say how incredible sarcastic, bitter yet intelligent and thought
provoking I was.
As said on the side, I am worryingly obsessed with everything under the sun (movies,
shows, books, sports, food, fashion...you name it, I love it). I work in a good, secure
job that pays for all the bills. I take pictures because I see the beauty of the world
through a lens. I live through the words I write (or type if you want to be literal about it).
I patiently wait for the one (because I believe in the cheesy thing called Love).
But most of all, I am a human being who is grateful for yet another day on planet Earth.

Because each day is a gift, that’s why is called a present. ;)

Spotlight: #PhantomManila back after 7 years

Back in 2012, I watched Phantom in the Opera while working on my undergraduate thesis with a mentor that worked at CCP. My groupmates and I would head over to CCP and hear them rehearse. There was even a time that we were eating at the nearby Harbour Square and three of the cast were also eating at the same place. Fast forward to last year when I was jumping with utter joy when Jonathan Roxmouth announced on his Twitter and Facebook pages that he was returning to Manila, playing the talented and yet terrifying Phantom. Last February 23, I got my second chance of watching this incredible music come alive. Like my spotlight on Mamma Mia, I won't go into the details of the plot. Theatre Like Never Before: National Theatre at Home

Whatever your country calls it -- quarantine, lockdown --  times are tough for everyone as the current pandemic reaches nth waves across the globe. What doesn't seem to change though is that -- change. People are adapting to what they have at their disposals and the human race is once again learning to rely on different things. Things that were never really given much though off until the hand of humanity was forced and everything must now be done via a good internet connection and a laptop. I for one have spent the past two months working from home -- glued to my laptop during most hours of the week and not signing out even though my shift has ended. [Because let's face it, what else is there to do?
