About Me

“I should be writing…”
I say this multiple times a day(or basically every time I open the file of the
book/article/story I have to write that is due in a couple of days). But alas, other things
are occupying my head. Because my brain can’t handle all the jumbled ideas, I created
this dumping ground of everything going on.
Do I think anyone will read this? Probably not. But hey, at least I can show it
to my descendants and say how incredible sarcastic, bitter yet intelligent and thought
provoking I was.
As said on the side, I am worryingly obsessed with everything under the sun (movies,
shows, books, sports, food, fashion...you name it, I love it). I work in a good, secure
job that pays for all the bills. I take pictures because I see the beauty of the world
through a lens. I live through the words I write (or type if you want to be literal about it).
I patiently wait for the one (because I believe in the cheesy thing called Love).
But most of all, I am a human being who is grateful for yet another day on planet Earth.

Because each day is a gift, that’s why is called a present. ;)

In Celebration of Original Pilipino Music We were driving to a relative's birthday party when my father mentioned that he read in the newspaper that there was a musical currently ongoing that featured the songs of the APO Hiking Society. Spotlight: Cheer the Revolting Children in #MatildaTourMNL

Matilda was a constant companion during my childhood, both book and movie. She was the girl that was like me: a bookworm but without the unloving home and terrifying school (total opposite on both fronts for me). Roald Dahl's book was read multiple times and the movie watched anytime it was shown on TV (this was before the invention of VCDs, yes I'm that old). I had only learned about the musical recently and jumped at the opportunity to watch it a the London West End production visits the Philippines for its International Tour. PLOT: I won't get into much detail since Matilda is beloved children's book and movie. Basically the story revolves around Matilda, a very intelligent little girl who is born into a family that pretty much do not care for her existence one bit. Theatre Like Never Before: National Theatre at Home

Whatever your country calls it -- quarantine, lockdown --  times are tough for everyone as the current pandemic reaches nth waves across the globe. What doesn't seem to change though is that -- change. People are adapting to what they have at their disposals and the human race is once again learning to rely on different things. Things that were never really given much though off until the hand of humanity was forced and everything must now be done via a good internet connection and a laptop. I for one have spent the past two months working from home -- glued to my laptop during most hours of the week and not signing out even though my shift has ended. [Because let's face it, what else is there to do?
